Leading participants in the Global Market for Renewable Energy

It is more important than ever to make a quick switch to renewable energy. Societies, financial systems, and ecosystems all over the world are already suffering as a result of climate change, which is being caused by the combustion of coal, oil, as well as fuel. Relocating to a power system that relies on renewable power and storage is the simplest, fastest, and most efficient way to reduce greenhouse gas release and give oneself the greatest shot of stomping climate change's butt.

Here are some motivating nations that are reducing their emissions through creative integrations of renewable resources and effective, focused policies.

Sweden

Sweden achieved its goal of using 50% renewable energy in 2012, eight years earlier than expected. This puts them on track to meet their 2040 objective of producing all of their electricity from renewable sources. Why did they succeed? utilizing a mix of hydropower and bioenergy while utilizing their natural resources.

Scotland

Great Scotland Over 97% of Scotland's electricity needs in 2020 will be met by renewable energy. Only 37% of the country's demand was met by renewable energy in 2011. The greatest feature is that they don't appear to be slowing down. The Scots' next goal is to achieve net emissions by 2045 while also looking into ways to address the heating and transportation sectors. They are in a prime position to accomplish both of these goals thanks to their promising beginning in the energy industry.

Iceland

A variety of renewable resources are uniquely accessible in the land of fire and ice. Nearly all of Iceland's electricity requirements are met by a combination of geothermal and hydropower. In actuality, 90% of homes are heated by geothermal energy. Even the UN has speculated that their transition may serve as a template for other nations looking to make the change. We're taking notes.

Costa Rica

For more than seven years running, Costa Rica has produced an astounding 98% of its electric power from renewable sources. They probably will repeat this in 2022. To complete its tasks, Costa Rica combines geothermal, wind, solar energy, hydro, and biomass. They've even had success exporting the extra power they've produced in some years.

Germany

In its first 100 days in office, Germany's new government instituted what it calls the "largest energy strategy reform in decades." What makes it so unique? With goals of 80% sustainable energy by 2030 and nearly 100% by 2035, renewables are at the center. Session On: Energy Conservation

The endeavor to minimize energy consumption by utilizing green energy. This can be accomplished by either using green energy more effectively (using less energy for a constant service) or lowering the amount of service provided (for example, by driving less). Energy-saving measures include turning off lights when leaving a room, disconnecting equipment when not in use and walking instead of driving. People save energy for two major reasons: to have more control over their energy expenses and to minimize the demand for the earth's natural resources.

Session On: Climate change

Long-term changes in temperature and weather patterns are referred to as climate change.  This is due to over exploitation of resources and usage of non-green products. Humans should consider the climate change and decide to start using green power for a better future. Although these changes are natural, human activities have been the primary cause of climate change since the 1800s, owing to the burning of fossil fuels (such as coal, oil and gas), which creates heat-trapping gases.

Session On: Soil pollution

The presence of hazardous compounds can be reduced by using green products (pollutants or contaminants) in such quantities in the soil endangers human health and/or the environment. when the levels of pollutants in soil surpass the levels that should naturally be present, even if the levels are not high enough to constitute a concern. All soils, whether contaminated or not, contain a range of naturally occurring substances (contaminants). Metals, inorganic ions and salts are examples of pollutants.

Session On: Renewable Fuels

Fuels made from renewable resources are known as renewable fuels. Biofuels and hydrogen fuel are two examples. Usage of green fuels can reduce the consumption of nonrenewable resources. Nonrenewable fuels such as natural gas, LPG, biogas, biofuel, petroleum, and other fossil fuels, as well as nuclear energy, are not renewable.

For usage in fuel cell automobiles, hydrogen is a potentially emissions-free alternative fuel that can be created from local resources. Natural gas is a readily available gaseous fuel with substantial cost savings over gasoline and diesel.
